1. Application for visiting appointment:
   Spouse, relatives or family members that are qualified for ordinary visits and have visited the inmate at the correctional facility at least once may apply for visiting appointments. Applications may be submitted starting from 12:00 A.M. 7 days before the date of visitation to 3:00 P.M. 2 days before the date of visitation. If the deadline for application is a regular or national holiday, then the deadline will be advanced to 3:00 P.M. 1 day before the holiday. This facility examines all appointments for the second day to come at 4:00 P.M. each day.
2. How to make a visiting appointment:
   Appointments should be made online or by phone. To make an online appointment, please login to http://www.vst.moj.gov.tw To make an appointment by phone, please call the Ministry of Justice's number for appointment: (02) 23891101; our agency code is 2405. After making an appointment, the applicant should inquire online or by phone one day prior to the date of visitation to see if the appointment was approved. After an appointment is approved, the applicant should register at the inmate's correctional facility 30 minutes before the visiting appointment with sufficient identity documents.
3. Canceling visiting appointments:
   If the applicant cannot visit on the date and time of the appointment, the applicant should cancel online or by phone before 3:00 P.M. 2 days prior to the appointment. If the deadline for canceling an appointment is a regular or national holiday, then the deadline will be advanced to 3:00 P.M. 1 day before the holiday. If an applicant does not cancel an appointment and does not arrive for the appointment 2 times within 6 months, then applications from the applicant will not be accepted for 3 months starting from the most recent appointment made.
