Inmates life discipline

The Prison adheres to the principle of “Living care is lenient, and discipline requirement is strict” and implements regular life management to develop normal life habits and attitudes.

Implement the duty system

The Prison has a 24-hour, strict day and night guard and control duty system. The Prison keeps tracks of the inmates’ status to avoid the occurrence of guard accidents.

Strict safety check

In order to implement the “The Implementation Plan of Guard and Control Area Clean Project“ enacted by the Ministry of Justice, the Prison conducts layer by layer checks on entering and leaving inmates or sent-in articles, parcels and mail, etc. The Prison implements periodic checks and aperiodic comprehensive or regional snap checks.

Strictly give regular education and pre-duty education.

To improve the knowledge and skills of guarding personnel and make them familiar with relevant laws and regulations.

Host relevant emergency drill

Regularly host emergency drill such as fire prevention, riot prevention, escape prevention, and earthquake prevention to improve the emergency response capabilities of the guarding personnel and to ensure the safety of the institution and inmates.

Processing the visit

In addition to processing the visit from 8 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 4PM according to regulations, the Prison improves its telephone visit and television visit to relieve the inmates’ sentiments towards family and stabilize their emotions. Based on convenience service considerations, the first Sunday of each month is selected for all day holiday visit to serve inmates and their relatives.  Besides this, the Prison uses a broadband network in combination with video technology and remote access equipment to save the time and physical strength of the inmates’ families from travelling between the two places, which helps to stabilize the inmates’ emotions.

Regular technical training for staff is conducted to practice the balanced technique of "simultaneous evasion and counterattack." This method avoids both initiating attacks and passively evading them. Instead, when the opponent launches an attack, the staff member sidesteps into the opponent's blind spot, neutralizing the attack while simultaneously executing a counterstrike, thereby effectively and smoothly resolving security incidents.

Bajiquan Training

The Duty Center serves as the command hub for various operations within the prison, including security, education, visitations, work, and medical appointments. It also functions as the central management center for all daily activities of the inmates. In addition to assigning well-trained staff to oversee and direct these operations, the Duty Center is equipped with monitoring systems to track inmate activity and manage security effectively.

Duty Command Center

Inmates entering or exiting any facility, passageway, or duty station must undergo a thorough body search conducted by the escorting or on-duty staff. The search should include detailed inspection of the hair, mouth, ears, nostrils, dentures, limbs, fingernails, and other concealed areas. Male inmates should be searched by male staff, and female inmates should be searched by female staff.

Body Search

The spacious and well-lit dormitory corridor is lined with multi-occupant rooms on both sides, each capable of accommodating 3 to 12 inmates. Above each room is a signal light, and inside each room is a call button. When an inmate presses the button, on-duty staff will promptly respond to check on the situation. Ceiling fans are installed along the corridor, and windows and exhaust fans are located at both ends of the corridor to ensure proper air circulation. Outside each room door, there is a nameplate displaying the names and bed positions of the inmates inside.
